Max and Rory
Some children are just wild hearted. Rory is one of them. This sweet girl stole my heart the first time I met her, for her First Birthday Session just last year! She moves at a million miles an hour, so I know I only have seconds to 'get the shot' with her - but somehow (me and my mate Rory must have an understanding)... we always do. She returned with her mummy, Ashlee for a 'Mama and Me' session just before Mother's Day this year which was a great way to capture Ashlee's little Max bump! Rory by this point is talking to me as fast as she moves... her chatter is the funniest thing ever to watch and be a part of!
Like with any newborn session, we started off with some family portraits, photographed Rory and Max together then got to work on Max's solo images
We have a little questionnaire for you to fill in if you want to, after your session. It helps us to learn about what we're doing right and what we could change or do better. Ashlee had some gorgeous insights to share, so I'll hand you over to her!
Ashlee: Our second child, Max, had just been born and we wanted to celebrate the occasion. We didn't have professional newborn pictures with our first-born and wish we'd found Amy sooner! We found Amy when looking for photographer for our daughters first birthday cake smash photoshoot - she came recommended through friends and when we saw her work we knew we couldn't go anywhere else.
Our session was brilliant. Amy is so patient with both us and the kids! Our daughter doesn't sit still and Amy always manages to get her to focus for just long enough to get a shot. I don't think I could choose a favourite part of the experience - I love how Amy puts us at ease when taking our pictures, how she talks to the children, how she handles the children.... It's all perfect.
Amy is the best at what she does. I wouldn't go anywhere else for any portrait session. Go with ideas if you have something specific in mind as Amy will do her utmost to capture that shot, she will look after and capture those special memories perfectly.
